Ken Regum

On the Film KPop Demon Hunters

Review: KPop Demon Hunters (2025)

Whoa, I can't stop listening to the soundtrack on Spotify. This has some really banging sounds, though who would have thunk with something like KPop in the title.

The plot is a bit simple, but the movie makes it up in visuals and the overall cuteness of the three protagonists and the supporting cast (even the trio's Manager - voiced by no other than Community alumnus Ken Jeong - is funny). I would have loved the fans, the demons (you know, apart from Jinu, seeing all of them are being oppressed) and the trio to work together against the big bad, but oh well, that's probably the plot of the next film if there ever will be one.

Speaking of which: I wish we can see more of Rumi and Jinu! I love that the film did not force any romance (or at least, overtly speaking, just some sparks here and there) between them, but come on! I want my Rujinu to have a happy ending!

4/5.
