On Confidential Information and Privacy

Confidential information may or may not be personal information, unless the confidential information contains personal information by which it will then be covered by the DPA. For example, a contract of lease between company A and company B may be considered confidential but does not involve personal information, unless in the contract of lease the names and signatures of the authorized representatives may be seen, in which case it is also considered as containing personal information.
