On My Then Engagement with Now Wife
Moving stuff from Facebook for archival purposes. I wrote this after I asked my then-girlfriend to be my wife.
Words are where most change begins.
- Shallan Davar, Words of Radiance
The word “yes” has never been more important, more life-changing, and more heavenly than that uttered by my girlfriend, now fiancée.
It has been a tough four - almost five - years, wrecked by my most insane moods and hard-to-love moments, but my girlfriend has always been there through thick or thin, through the tough and the placid moments. There was and is no doubt in my mind: I want to spend my life with this woman.
As we take this step forward, I wish nothing but that: Together, forever, in love and prosperity.
Lablab, I want to marry you through the hottest day or the coldest night, right by the beach or even inside a convenience store, and through tears, laughter, and absolute bliss.
I love you!
P.S. Thank you to everyone who made this happen! You’re the best!
